Other Courses and Workshops We’ve Run

To engage with the wider community E.Y.E has run a number of courses and workshops since 2009.  We have offered workshops in Health & Fitness for the young and senior members of our community, provided knowledge based courses that broaden their understanding and educational courses that develop their skills to help members increase their job opportunities or even become self employed.

Please see below some of the courses we have run:

A Part Of The Communty

From 2009 to now EYE has made a commitment to support it’s local community as much as possible. We provided educational courses helping young people and other age groups in learning everyday life skills.

In recent years we have dedicated to help others via making donations from funds that the charity has raised. For example E.Y.E has donated furniture to local Churches and Temples. 2016 – 2019 we donated winter jackets to The Kings Arms Project, YMCA, Prebend St Homeless Shelter and The Re-use Centre who have all passed on the warm jackets to the rolex day date 41mm mens m228398tbr 0001 watch president bracelet homeless in Bedfordshire. Early 2019 we donated media equipment to Living It Up Performing Arts Centre who help young people with down syndrome. Christmas 2019 we proudly donated toys, clothing and Christmas trees to Families First Bedfordshire which benefited 35 vulnerable families in locally.

Caring For The Environment

In line with the charity’s Environmental Policy, E.Y.E is dedicated in helping our planet by recycling used furniture that is destined for landfill. Each year E.Y.E has refurbished many tons of used furniture to a excellent standard ready for them to be used and enjoyed again. Our remit not only helps the environment is also provides people with training and work experience who are looking to improve their skills in order to have access to greater job opportunities leading to a better standard of living.

The charity is also registered with the Environmental Agency to ensure that it operates within the U.K waste laws and regulations: – Registration No.: CBDL233433.

Pop in to our furniture warehouse or visit our used furniture website at secondhandbedford.co.uk and see what the charity has stopped from being thrown into the ground.

Support the E.Y.E charity and help our planet – it makes prefect sense to recycle.
